Remember The Titans

From producer Jerry Bruckheimer (Armageddon, CSI) and starring Academy Award-winner Denzel Washington, Remember The Titans screens on Sunday, October 29th at 10:55pm, TV3: 7/10.

This powerful film tells the remarkable, inspiring true story of a Virginian town torn apart by prejudice – and the two men who put it back together. The year is 1971 and a young black newcomer by the name of Herman Boone (Washington) is hired as the head football coach at the town’s high school – usurping the spot that would have gone to Bill Yoast (Will Patton), a white man with seniority and a winning record.

As America struggles through the growing pains of racial integration, these two men slowly overcome their distrust and learn to respect one another. In the process they mould a group of angry, unfocused boys into a dynamic, winning team – and prove that heroes come in all colours!
