South Park mocks Steve Irwin

The latest episode of South Park to air in the US showed Steve Irwin in a bloody shirt with a stingray still stuck in his chest. It showed him at a Halloween fancy dress party hosted by Satan.

People are complaining that it’s only 8 weeks since his death and more respect should be shown.

“South Park” maker Comedy Central defended the episode. A spokesperson for the company said: “It has offended people in the past and probably will again. Regular watchers would not be shocked.”

Having seen the clip, it’s not that bad. What do you think?

I agree with Francis about that episode being distasteful.
Geez talk about disrespect. I have never watched South Park
and certainly won’t be watching it now. And one other thing.
I am peed off with those of you who thought that episode funny
as there is absolutely nothing at all humourous about it.

  • Finally Free

The episode *was* funny, IMO. And the episode does not centre around Steve, ironically it actually had a nice moral to the story. Satan learns that his friends being at his party is more important than what type of car cake he has. I love how it shows those stupid my sweet sixteen mtv “reality” shows up.

Oh and btw, I don’t find being in hell offensive, if you ask me it looks more fun down there than in heaven. But seriously, Gandhi was in hell. If Gandhi’s in hell, you can’t expect Steve Urwin to be in heaven.

I love it that South Park indiscriminately make fun of everyone.

I have never watched South Park

Then your opinion on the matter is irrelevant. Lighten the f*ck up.

To Devil Dodo I am entitled to my opinion and
will have my say about things I don’t like.
So don’t bother telling me to lighten up.

To Finally Free you need your head read if you
think that episode as funny. It is NOT funny.
You wouldn’t like it if something like that
happened to someone you know so show the
    Irwins some respect please.
It is very unkind to make fun of people.

  • Devil Dodo

Please show respect to people who have a sense of humour.

    I bet you didn’t even watch it…

Dude, I said in my opinion it was funny, I never said I spoke for you. And I think that it’s slightly hypocritically that someone, as yourself, is preaching respect when you have clearly disregarded my opinion as categorically wrong. You have shown absolutely no respect for my opinions, so excuse me if I have little for yours.
