It is Obvious. At first Peter was thought to have a mimic ability, but in truth, HE IS THE PERFECT HEROE, He ALREADY POSSESSES ALL SKILLS (for lack of better word) he just DOEsnt know how to control them yet, all he has needed so far was a catalist, to be in the pressence of the power. hence every tyme syler uses a power in front of Peter, we can asume .. peter can do it too. so i say peter has a much better chance that syler.if he does that scalp laser thing, he can do what syler can do and 100% better. he just needs to realise it. thats the question, will he do it on time ( that said, since peter is a primary, he cant die. so either he releases his power, or the genesisit saves him somehow, thats what i think)

Yes there are very interesting plot turns in it and you do start wondering who the true baddy is.

Oh ye if people havent already figured it out, its highly unlikely peter dies, as he is like the main character, but also theirs other proof, remember when the future version of Hiro Nakamura came to see Peter on that train, he says “Peter petrelli? Sorry i didnt recognise you without that scar” meaning the scar that sylar makes when hes attempting to slice open his head! So just to let people know! It makes sense, but who knows, if the cheerleader got saved, therfore the past was changed, then maybe Peter could still be a victim, but i still think my “prediction” makes sense.

Also did anyone figure out why they had to save the cheerleader? Its probably cos they didnt want sylar being invincible as he could regenerate himself if he managed to feast on claires brain!

Im sorry to disagree with prevailing wisdom but I dont think that heroes needs to be dumbed down for people joining later. Its their fault download the missed episodes or watch em on nbc and see if you like it. What is the point of a show that doesn’t move on to more complexities…
Anyhow I love heroes but I see the same issues as mentioned above. My main one is the power of Peter Petrelli…I mean he can absorb everything…lol there is a reason why comics havent went there…b/c he is near god status. The fact that there is no downside is amazing…I mean even professor x was mentally all powerful but physically weak. What is peters negative???
I agree about hiro and sylar as well..That trio is too powerful, I dont know what the writers were thinking.
As far as killing of heroes, I am attached to em all. Truly if they start killing off chars just to bring new ones in this will be a short lived series. I feel that the writers have NO IDEA where they are going…which is kinda like riding in a car with a drunk friend…its fun before you crash and die…hopefully heroes will sober up and take a nod from the xfiles, buffy, or any other long lasting sci-fi show.

… Trav, Peter blew up at the end of season 1. That, and he’s a total wuss/insecure whiner. Those are pretty significant down sides/ character flaws. Plus, it’s not really imba if there’s another person on the dark side who’s just as powerful. It’s just balance.

And plenty of comics have gone there. Look at Superman. Heroes is just a little more cerebral, in that the “kryptonite” isn’t so much from an external source as it is generalized emotional instability.

i think Sylar (remember he almost died at the paper factory and remember the cockroach) and Nathan (well because he’s one of the key characters with so much exposure) are still alive. i can’t wait for season 2 to answer my questions: who could that other Hero whom the “tracker” talked about? which side is that person going to be on? why did Hiro land in feudal Japan? i had the suspicion before episode 19 aired that mr. linderman has well some sort of secret too, so that brings me to ask, could the other elder characters (mr. nakamura etal) have powers too? hmmmm, can’t wait for next season.

Peter’s scar is in an alternate version of the future where he didn’t save Claire. Although in String Theory, Hiro tells himself that they saved the cheerleader in the past which reflects in Bennett going to get Claire and Sylar killing her, so presumably someone’s screwed up somewhere.

Another thing, I can’t quite figure out why so many people are asking why Peter needed Nathans help to fly. If u just listen, he says he cant control anything anymore, (not word for word). So he cant use a second ability because the first is overpowering and overwhelming his own concentration

if any one as not noticed which i have the girl that can spot any one out only does so when people ask her to. that tells me that the people that where keepin her there knoes about this person so i dont think its any one that we know about yet and the only person i think it is, is that boy that goes into peoples dreams it cant possibly be hiro father becuase he actually helps hiro to understand his powers

You can not see the new season yet as its only just started filming i think it airs in september in the usa.

The cockroach has something more to do that that. Sylar didn’t transform into a roach, and lets not forget that in one of the earlier episodes – number 12 I think? When he was held in the primtech factory – that was the first time we saw the cockroach. Theres something more with the Sylar + Cockroach storyline.

as for season 2, god, get a grip. It’s not even filming yet!!

They only started fliming in late June and season 2 is due to air in the Us in September. Not sure as to when we get to see it in the uk. So theres no way you could have seen it. You have looked on the net and read the various rumours and red herrings that are floating about. Your just trying to show off and you have only made yourself look a fool.

I just love this show. My girlfriend and I only see each other about 3 times a week and all we do is watch Heroes! She wants more Meroes, and I want more of her! This is serious. I lover her a lot, but at this rate… she can marry Hiro for all I care. Any girls out there in the same boat with their male boyfriends? Sick of the show? I love it, don’t get me wrong, but it has to be in moderation. Where is the love!? I want love, not a “hero”.

I dont care what any of you losers have to say that dont like the show, but I personally think that Heros is one of the best shows on tv right now. Its not some teenage love drama bull shit, or a stupid reality show about whore putting their pussy in everyones faces. Its a good show with a good plot line and lots of twist that keep you interested, and I for one and glad there will be a season two. Im sure it will be even better then the first.

of course peter will be in the second series. they want you to believe that he wont, but hes is indistructable so he is definately not dead and therfore it is possible for him to appear in the sec series. which will be awsome

also, micah is going to live with his relatives who also has kick-ass powers.

UMM HELLO??? Nikki has superhuman power dumbshit, and nathan is can control his powers VERY well, he has plenty of time to fly away while leaving peter behind to blow up by himself, although that may sound selfish. Parkman can hear thoughts, though it isn’t very useful in fighting Sylar, it still helped the crew to get info on what they needed, like RESCUING HIMSELF OUT.

Hiro couldn’t have teamed up before, because he didnt know how to control his powers:

examples:

he saves the girl from the truck, but he starts time too early, nearly missing the bus.

He says he needed the sword to control his powers

His powers can’t be used whenever he wants at the beginning. and yes, he could’ve just stopped time and stabbed sylar in the end a million times, but then what would be the point of being a hero when you just stop time and do whatever you want?

and one last thing, people don’t THINK it’s an explosion. It’s in the air, high up, and the air compresses everything. so they think it looks like a huge amount of fireworks.

i think the cockroach is a hint, u c remember how we found out earlier that sylar has a nack 4 figuring things out well that mite b a power cuz in like ep. 12 or someting sylar saw a roach and roaches can survive for 4 weeks w/out its head and stuff so sylar coped the roach and he lived
