Everyone will be “Kung-Fu” fighting on Saturday 17 February at 6.30pm with the Disney Channel Original Movie “Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior” (PG). Filmed entirely in New Zealand and starring Brenda Song from “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody as Wendy Wu, Shin Koyamada from “The Last Samurai” as Shen, Tsai Chin from “Memoirs of a Geisha” as Wendy’s Grandma and New Zealand actress Anna Hutchinson as Wendy’s friend Lisa.

The movie follows the life of Wendy Wu (played by Brenda Song from “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody”) a popular teen whose goal is to be homecoming queen. But her life takes a dramatic turn when she finds out she’s a reincarnated Chinese warrior and is needed to save the world! Undercover Buddhist Monk Shen enters Wendy’s life and has some important business. Wendy doesn’t know it but it is her destiny to battle the evil Yan Lo. Shen must train Wendy so she will be able to defeat Yan Lo and keep the world safe for another 90 years. However, Wendy is too busy for any of Shen’s nonsense – she’s trying to make sure she beats Jessica Dawson and is elected this year’s Homecoming Queen! Will Wendy defeat the evil Yan Lo?
