Co-hosts Sarah Bradley and Brendon Pongia bring an extra hour of entertainment and information to screens when magazine-style show ‘Good Morning’ returns for 2007, now three hours each weekday morning.

‘Good Morning’ includes interviews and segments on the way we live now, including relationships, parenting and self development, gardening, cooking, money matters, movie, book, and arts reviews, and panel discussions.
Producer Sally Anne Kerr says increasing ‘Good Morning’ by a third is exciting; “We have a lot more new segments planned. We are looking at doing landscape gardening, giving more advice on relationships, more cooking demonstrations, consumer advice and exercise.” In all, she says, the extra time creates the opportunity to provide a lot of new material while still delivering the same treasured segments.

The show kicks off 2007 packed with a variety of guests including, Australian country music legend Jade Hurley; the loveable larrikin Leigh Hart; young adventurer James Blake talking about life on the ice in Antarctica, and comedian Lynda Topp, with her alter ego Ken, who will hook and cook a salmon – her outdoor skills can also be seen on the new TV ONE series ‘Ken’s Hunting And Fishing Show’.

‘Good Morning’ heats up Valentine’s Day with the SPCA’s animal adoption team, then it’s off to Matiu/Somes Island with DOC’s Nic Vallance, in search of tuatara and giant weta, and matchmaker Sasha Madaraz will quiz Brendon on his take on love and romance. The week rounds off with Bradley and Pongia chatting to Jayne Kylie from TV2′s ‘Mitre 10 Dream Home’, and retirement commissioner Diana Crossan with tips on getting the year sorted financially.

    I really like Good Morning, It is much better than it’s counterpart on tv in the U.K. I particularly like the variety of subjects that they cover, especially art. The adverts get a bit tiring ,but then I suppose that what is what pays for the show.Maureen

    i think whoever bags someone else out is jealous. lets see if u can get on tv and do what they do its really hard work and who cares brendon is ten times better looking than any guy ive met he can act as hot as he wants i do if ya got it flaunt it and id do the same on tv aswell. most people meet their partners in ther workplace hes got the nation to choose from go f yaself freak n lets see who wins that date mo fo

    Message from a hard-working Kiwi

    I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.

    In order to earn that pay cheque, as I work in the timber industry, I am required to pass a random urine test, with which I have no problem in passing.

    What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don’t have to pass a urine test.

    Shouldn’t one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare cheque because I have to pass one to earn it for them??

    Please understand – I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet.

    I do on the other hand have a problem with helping someone sit on their arse drinking piss & smoking dope all day.

    Could you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a WINZ cheque???

    What has happened to Steve on “Good Morning” he seems to have lost lots of weight and is looking sick and gaunt?

    Brendon looks happier than I have ever seen him….owing to his up and coming wedding plans…..good luck Brendon, this time for real we all hope?
    He will leave a few broken hearts out there no doubt….

    Brendon is such a honey it annoys me that the stylists or maybe himself dress him in ugly clothes his pants are always to short and make his bum look fat also stop tucking his shirts into his pants.Please get a better stylist.

    Sarah, Brendan and Steve are constantly massaging their own ego’s. Astar….christ what can I say, are TV NZ trying to show equal opportunities to lunatics. What she does is insulting and completely irrelevant.

    It would be so cool if we just had some presenters that were real and not so condescending, glib and just plain HIDEOUS.

    New Zealand media/tv has a LONG way to go!

    I just wanna say, geeze louise, for crying out loud, why do Kiwis dis each other – like most of the time. We are a small nation compared to other western countries and all this negativity about some of our public personalities – such as the Good Morning team, really makes me feel whakamaa. I have lived and travelled abroad and have always maintained my belief that the larger population of Aotearoa are happy-go-lucky, inventive, proud, down-to-earth, friendly, understanding, staunch, funloving, eccentric, intelligent, worldly, supportive and empathetic – but that must be the minority – lighten up people, they just like who they are, what they do and you know what, they make me laugh and cry and I betcha they would help anyone in need in a heart beat…so instead of bagging them, give them their props – would you get up infront of the nation and do half of what they do?? Nah, didn’t think so….where’s the mana gone? Oh yeah, watch Matai on Good Morning to get the translations…Kia kaha Good Morning!
