TVNZ to broadcast all Silver Fern Netball Tests

TVNZ will broadcast all international netball tests played at home by the Silver Ferns over the next three years, through an agreement announced today between TVNZ and the Netball New Zealand.

The agreement gives TVNZ the exclusive right to broadcast all test matches played in New Zealand on TVONE, as well as via its digital and interactive platforms, from 2008 through to 2010.

TVNZs General Manager of Sport, Murray Needham says, We are delighted to bring all New Zealanders continued free access to this countrys premier female sport at this level. The Silver Ferns are icons of our domestic sporting landscape, current world champions and Commonwealth Games gold medallists. In a year when we will all be backing their attempt to retain their world crown, this is a sign of our commitment to them and our partners at Netball New Zealand.

Netball New Zealand and TVNZ have had a strong relationship for many years, said Netball New Zealand CEO Shelley McMeeken.

Its great that the Silver Ferns games will continue to be available to Netball fans on TVONE, she said.
