Series Final - Tuesday 15 January

SERIES FINAL
CONVICTION

Tuesday, January 15th at 11pm

Calvin Wade (Dorian Missick) and Frank Jeffers (Gbenga Akinnagbe) try to take the law in to their own hands by holding several ADAs, a judge and a congressman hostage in the season final of Conviction, screening Tuesday, January 15th at 11pm on 3.

Conviction, the legal drama series from Emmy Award winner Dick Wolf (Law & Order and SVU: Special Victims Unit) is a fast-paced, character-oriented story focusing on the lives of young Manhattan assistant district attorneys and the challenging, emotional cases they confront.

Wolf created the series after finding this statistic: Among the hundreds of prosecutors in the Manhattan district attorney’s office, the average age is 28. This translates into young, inexperienced and attractive go-getters who are pushed to the limit.

When asked about the difference between the Law & Order brand series’ and Conviction Wolf told FilmsandTV.com, “It’s a very high-octane show with a pace that we’ve never seen in the Law & Order shows before – very kinetic, and very young.”

“I don’t want any assumptions that it needs to adhere to the Law & Order conventions,” he added.

“Conviction deals more with ‘character-cedural,’ it deals extensively with characters’ back stories and personal lives.”

It’s these back stories that come back to disrupt some of the rookie prosecutors in the season final of Conviction, screening Tuesday, January 15th at 11pm on 3.
