Temuera Morrison returns to Shortland Street

Temuera Morrison will reprise his role on Shortland Street as Dr. Hone Ropata in a series of episodes to air early June this year.

Shortland Street will celebrate its 4000th episode on June 8th – a first for any New Zealand made show. The show has had huge ratings success with the serial killer storyline with an average of 45% more viewers tuning in over January and February, as compared with last year. Over 665,000 Kiwis tuned in to see the ending of Joey Henderson’s reign of terror.

Temuera Morrison left the show in 1995 for his film career.
