Sky will launch an on-demand service in June.

Sky Online will allow initially people to download already screened movies and programmes they are already subscribed to to their computer for a monthly fee of $5.

Details on exactly when the service will launch and quality of the files have yet to be announced.

No doubt the files will be infected with DRM. Also there’s more in the herald:

the first phase of Sky Online would allow downloading of movies that had appeared on Sky Movies One and Sky Movies 2, MGM and Rialto channel and programmes from Sky’s basic subscription package.

For $5 a month DRM seems completely reasonable.

Yeah but it is on top of your monthly subscription, luckily windows DRM is reasonably easily crackable
