Tonight we will be at the 2008 Qantas Film and TV Awards posting up photos from the red carpet and interviewing people. Drop back to the site to see photos here tonight from about 7pm!

    TV One

Yay! (there was no competition really ;) )

How did News at 8 do??

  • bobscoffee

glad to hear one news won best news and eating media lunch taking best comedy, but i must say what a very poorly done awards ceremony. the stage set up was plain with christmas lights dangling down from the ceiling and a plain white wall behind, we had a ukelele orchestra, no podium, random nz music played after awards were announced (did they make a mixed tape? how does maybe tomorrow and out of the blue go together?), for this to be our premier film and tv awards show it’s not a very good look and certainly a step down from last year. then again i suppose it was held in the civic this year with a smaller stage. who organises these things? if it’s the host broadcaster then i can understand…

I cant Believe Antonia Won an Best Supporting Actress!! Im So thrilled!!

  • Rogue

I thought it looked quite good. Simple and understated but the red and white worked well… It was just odd seeing all the different pairings!

    Hillary and Simon! lmao

  • Rob

God it was crap compared to last year! Last year was so polished and entertaining. It is because TVNZ did it last year and TV3 did it this year?

  • bobscoffee

they managed to have an orchestra which added a bit of class to it last year. this year i was surprised to see people mouthing off at what is supposed to be a showcase of the best we have on TV and screen, notably robyn malcom and her very disgusting behaviour on stage when presenting with paul henry regardless of whether she was joking or not. sorry but my opinion of her has gone down
