Real Life: The Girl Who Didn’t Grow sees the personal story of Nicolette Half – a very little girl. Nine-year-old Nicolette stands less than a metre tall – and that’s about as big as she’ll ever grow. She has primordial dwarfism, a rare condition. The odds: about one in 150 million. Her parents know of just two other little girls like her – the same age and size – in the world today.
This documentary looks at the personal, medical, educational, and social battle of this little girl. It shows the tale of a mother’s love for her special child, and joins this family as they search for what this tiny girl’s future might be.
As part of the journey of Real Life: The Girl Who Didn’t Grow, Nicolette meets other primordial dwarves, including 10-year-old Hannah from Minnesota. Hannah is one of more than 2000 little people who attended a world conference of the Little People of America, in Florida.
