Tonight, Hugh picks his favourite vegetables and foraged foods from River Cottage and cooks what is in season right now. Lettuce and spinach are brimming over in the kitchen garden and dandelion and burdock are bursting from the hedgerow… cue lots of delicious recipes.

Also this week, Hugh’s Bristol experiment to turn an acre of derelict city land into a small holding continues when four of his own saddlebacks pigs arrive.
Susan the vegetarian butcher’s apprentice takes on butchering a whole lamb’s carcass.

And Hugh’s country honey is pitted against the Hackney Bee Boy’s city honey at a taste-off in London.
