New seasons: PRIME launches their 2009 season on November 6 and TVNZ launches theirs on November 10. TV3 has picked up the US remake of Life on Mars, Knight Rider, Dollhouse, My Own Worst Enemy, Kings, The Ex-List, Do Not Disturb, Worst Week and Swingtown.
The Smurfs turn 50 today! The characters first appeared as a comic in a Belgian magazine. A live-action/animated hybrid Smurfs movie is in development.
In the making: Who Dares Wins is looking for new contestants. Documentary New Zealand are filming Martyn Williams of Marty’s Guide fame. The BBC is filming a third season of their reality show Wanted Down under on the North Shore.
Cameos: Australian Idol judge Dicko makes a cameo appearance on Neighbours.
Renewals: Private Practice has been confirmed for a full second season. More episodes of ER may be added to their final season.
Awards: The Tudors picks up four Geminis at Canada’s TV awards.
