The Wrap: Saturday 22 November 2008

Dirty Sexy Money, Eli Stone and Pushing Daisies are expected to be cancelled shortly.

AR2 sounds an interesting upcoming show. From the makers of The West Wing and Prison Break, the series is described as “Les Miserables” in modern America – following a group of young people sparking a second American revolution.

Remember that short-lived show Arrested Development? A movie based on it may be in the works.

Sean “Diddy” Combs will guest star as a prosecutor in an upcoming episode of CSI: Miami.

Ricky Gervais is planning a new one-hour special of Extras.

What do you think of Rob Thomas’ upcoming ABC show Cupid? Some have described this as a cross between Eli Stone, Life on Mars and The Ex-List.

University researchers found that “unhappy people watch TV, happy people read/socialize”.

Apparently Jeffrey Tambor has confirmed the Arrested movie. Not sure how well it will translate to the big screen, but I’ll definitely see it.

I actually didn’t mind Rob Thomas’ original version of Cupid that starred Jeremy Piven and Paula Marshall. It was canned after only a few episodes, but a bit of success with Veronica Mars and he can do whatever he wants. Interesting though that he wanted to try to not only remake something, but it was his show he’s remaking!
