    I think Brook did it – the humuliation of the final dumping, the love/hate they had.

    Plus few characters would have a gun, so it was probably Ethan’s, and Brook would know that which few would.

    Plus no one will miss her character

    I Think Alice, she knew where Ethan hid his gun and when at the end the gun was thrown on his body it looked like the one that was next to his bed. After seeing the videos he had on his laptop of him with other woman including her she wasn’t too happy. Also since Yvonne contracted cancer from an operation he performed on her and Alice looks up to Yvonne as a mother figure she has the motivation.

    its difenately alice coz when he got shot in the back had a tiny smile like he new the person and when he first saw the gun he wasnt expecting her to shoot so he didnt move =P

    i think its alice because ethan took her shooting and it looks like the same gun that they used and alice was really drunk she could have been capable of anything its alice im sure of it but i could be wrong i was wrong b4 shortland street has a strange story line so who knows

    I’d say Alice but it’s just too obvious, surely? She has a lot of anger and unresolved stuff left over from the Joey saga and compounded with losing Kelly, this situation with Ethan would have sent her over the fricking edge. It’s such a betrayal along with the humiliation of being royally played and used. She’s been downing the booze too and a boozed up Alice is unpredictable, if not a little scary at times.

    Brooke has this insane daddy/idol worship thing going on with Ethan. I don’t think she could pull the trigger on him. She adores him too much. I’d have expected to try to persuade Ethan to take her with him, not shoot him on the spot. Unless she’s finally come to her senses and realises she’s been his willing doormat for far too long.

    I agree with David Farrar’s thoughts. I’d say Brooke. That’s not *too* obvious but is also believeable.

    Do we think that Ferndale homicide investigator will be better than Detective Laura Wade last year over the serial killer? He’s already getting on my nerves, shouting at lovely Maia like that.

    Shorty’s producer has revealed that Shorty spends a lot of time in the courtroom in early 2009 so we can expect this whodunnit plot to run and run.

    There are sooooo many possibilities but I think his death may have something to do with Brookes father, he was horrible apparently and is still in jail, maybe he was released/broke out of prison and has caught up with Ethan Pierce.

    I vote Brooke – the way the gun was thrown on his body was very Brooke-esque. And if Ethan taught Alice how to shoot, I bet he taught Brooke too. And the look on his face when he saw whoever it was, made me instantly think Brooke.

    It wasn’t the guy Keiran hired – he had a rifle type thing, not a handgun like we saw.

    I don’t think it’s Alice, I think it would discredit everything the writers have done with her character this whole year, from Joey to Kelly.

    My pick is Libby.  I would say she has been affected the most so far.  Having to deal with losing her dream home, fiancé, seeing her sister Maia being mistreated, and her mother now fighting for her life I can imagine her snapping.  The way the gun was casually tossed onto his corpse was also quite Libby-esque.

    I am quite sure that in previous episodes Alice was ranting on that she found a gun inside a draw on the bedside table but i cannot remember who it was too.

    I know that it wouldn’t be Don because he would have shot from far distance and wouldn’t have dropped the gun with HIS fingerprints lying all over it.

    It could have been Chris cause he was so mad at him and asked to talk to him! He had a suspishus look on his face and walked of with an idea.

    It couldn’t have been alice cause that is so ovboius and she was learnt how to hold a gun and would have been really bad for her character cause of Joey and Kelly and now if she did it maybe jail!

Currently I saw Maias interview and it could be her cause when alice stormed of saying that she was going to kill him she must of followed her. Maybe Alice didn’t want to anymore and she walked in with ALICE giving her the key got the gun for her and she shot it. He smiled so he thought that it would have been her. Thats all I can think of so I hope that we can figure it out before it starts again next year.

    and because of what she said to maia before that.
    a the guy who keiran paid had a far bigger gun so it couldnt have been him.

    i think dat it was alice because she was really angery with him and she had keys to his appartment but don could have been attempting to kill ethan because you could see the shadow of a rifle and if it were don he would have killed him in only one or to shots but sevral shots were fired which means it could have been an un experanced shooter like alice and she knew where ethan hid his gun next to his bed and it would have had ethans fingerprints as he was using it for target shooting, don would have waited till ethan to come out of his apartment to escape eiser. it wouldnt have been callum or miar because they dont have the balls to do so

    It had to be someone he knew and didnt think that person was a threat because as he saw the person with the gun he was in shock and then gave a you wouldnt kill me smile so i think it could of been either alice because he would think shes patitic or chris because he left the room angry saying he would like to give ethan a word of his own

    I think that it was either Chris, Libby,or the guy that was helping Ethan from the furneral home with the body parts!!! (poor Betty)judging by the last episode all of them wanted him dead including Chris and Libby because of the medical condition that Evon is in. But that guy from the furneral home could of killed him to cover up his conections with him.

    I DON’T think it was Alice, they want us to think it was her ’cause of what she said to Mia. No, it’s either Chris, Evon, Brooke or Tracy. Tracy stabs people in her sleep maybe she was taking a nap and couldn’t find a knife but she walked to Ethans, found a gun in his bedside table and shot him. My mum thinks it’s Fraser. Hey, for all I know, it could have been Mia’s baby in a robot-suit! :D

    Maybe the bullets were duds or maybe Ethan was wearing a bullet proof vest. He might have gone to leave the house and someone else, like maybe Don killed him. Hence being found on the beach. The plot thickens.

    I believe the culprit who killed the manipulative and arogant buisnessman and surgeon Ethan Pierce was Alice. Alice was so inraged when she learnt Ethan had been filming her on the Internet and framed Maia of sexually harrassing members of staff. Alice was last seen at Maia’s apartment, on her way to kill Pierce. At the bar she asked if anyone had a gun. If she did kill Ethan Pierce. Why leave the Walther PPK by his body?

    I didnt watch the last few episodes but by reading everyones comments, i do not think its alice, it would be way to obvious!!
    alice would be a suspect that everyone would be curious about. everyone would think she did it as she was with him, had his keys etc, so if they made her the killer it would be way to obvious. there would have been no point of them making us guess.
    i reckon its kieran or someone.

    Wouldn’t be surprised if the writers brought back Joey Henderson. They’re gonna rehash the “mystery killer” plotline again to boost ratings again like they did in the past

    It could have been anyone maybe libby tracey maia alice (unlikely) brooke (unlikely) helen (timothys mum) callum chris kip luke but they wont make it the most likely suspect for example don lennox he would have got the first shot as he is a hired hitman it wouldnt be alice because that would be pretty obvious

    i think it was brooke! the shooter was an ammature, wasnt a very good hit even at close range, culdnt have been don (the hitman) coz he had a rifle not a pistol and wuld have been a better shot, so yep defenitly BROOKE FREEMAN, scorned woman driven by motive and intent

    Ok obviously like last year the killer is going to be sumone we lease expect maybe someone who has a grudge against ethan which isnt revealed to us. Dont you think its a little obvious that Brooke or all the other people that wanted to kill him, killed him. They want it to be a suprise. If it is someone that wanted to kill him it may be a more minor charcter someone that the audience doesnt really like.

    So you can say u think that the people like Brooke and chris and all those other people who hated ethan killed him but im pretty sure it wont be….

    I mean i was right with Joey henderson last year

    Ok well heres the thing it could be brooke because you wouldnt think that she would kill someone she loved so muchh && he wouldnt take her in the car so she might of killed him
    another thought is that there are 3 shots fired so there could be three different people shooting && i reckon it could be alice brooke or even libby or chris all the people you would expect && some that you wont alice && brooke new wear the gun was in the house so that makes them a suspect majorly
    && it wont be miya bcause she was at home with jay how would she get a baby sitter that easily && shes not that type of person

    Hey Did you notice in the photo of ” ethans blood” there were two different puddles of blood one was a depper looking were obvious he was first struct then there was another one which was smaller but looks like he may have tried to move but then i t could be from his big EGO lol

     

    and also the photo of his house really mad me think maybe he lost some blood in the house then he ” died ” on the beach and then i guess this would account for the small ammount of blood found in the house

     

    as an advid follower of csi and the crime investigation chanel somethings that sould have been done like finger prints on the gun, foot prints,hair blood from killar is it just me that this could be cut short if  this was reveled lol

    Chris would not put his sons life at risk by killing ethan as harry already lost his mother, also mia and alice are waaaaaay too obvious unless it was both of them?

    Remember whoever the killer is will be written out eventually, by either being taken to jail for murder or killing themselves or after a long and lengthy trial so i doubt it will be a character who is long term like mia or alice

    She hated him, he got her fired, lost her friends, and hurt her aswell. When she turned up at the hospital to comfort Alice she said that she had picked Jay up from Daycare but don’t you think that seems like the perfect allibi? Also when the cops were there with them she seemed nervous and jittery. Maia your under arrest. Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law!

    I seriously think its libby. I know she was real mad with keiran when he told her that he had used that 20 grand to hire that guy to kill him BUT…….When she found out that keiran was doing at that dodgy stuff with the white tails or whatever she was hard out telling him to stop but when he said “Give me back the car and the engagement ring” she seemed all good with it and she realy realy wanted that house and i reckon that she killed ethan so that they could get the other dude that keiran hired wouldnt have to do it and they would get the 20 grand back so they could get the house that she wanted. She is a material type girl and she just seems the type to do that. Joey was my first choice for the serial killer and it ended up being him, So yeah, He also gave evyone cancer so there goes another reason

    My boyfriend says It was Brooke Freeman, It was a crime of passion and sick of games… perfect twist and thats why he smiled becuase even he though yeah what ever.

    I think it was Maia becuase well gave her mom cancer, she already punched him, and loves alice, and he was in the way of them been together

    Maia is the person who killed Ethan. Well on last night’s show, Luke hypnotised Alice so she could remember things. She saw a woman saying “Alice, give me the gun”. Alice didn’t know who said that. Then she went to Maia’s house, and Sophie played a video about Jay and Maia. Maia says (in the video) “Jay, give me the spoon, give mummy the spoon” which rang a HUGE bell for Alice. Alice didn’t kill Ethan. She was drunk and she isn’t the killing type. Brooke didn’t do it either. But anyways, I LOVE SHORTLAND STREET!!!!! :D
