Award-winning chef Rick Stein shares more of his favourite seafood recipes from around the world. In this series he returns to France and travels by barge on the Canal du Midi from Bordeaux to Marseilles in search of the best food and wine the area has to offer. He samples local markets and restaurants and tries delicious dishes such as entrecote a la bordelaise and shad grilled over vine trimmings, sarladaise potatoes, snails Languedoc style and La Bourride. Starting at the mouth of the mighty Girdone River in Bordeux, Rick Stein embarks on a trip that everyone would love to take.
