Mediaworks latest channel on Freeview went live at midday today with TV3+1. The channel is the first of its kind in New Zealand and is based on from the highly successful format provided by UK networks such as ITV and Channel 4 and offers the same programming as TV3 but delayed by one hour.
Rick Friesen, Director of Special Projects for MediaWorks TV said, “The channel is an exciting addition to the Freeview platform’s line-up and will give consumers another reason to move to digital television. So many viewers have told us they just can’t make it to their television set for the 6pm news. Well now, they can tune in at 7pm and get all the news at an alternate time.”
