Unless you’ve deliberately been averting your eyes you would have seen Air New Zealand’s Nothing to Hide billboards. You know the one, where the pilot is standing there wearing nothing but a coat of body paint. Apparently those perky cheeks have given Air New Zealand so much positive feedback that they have taken the campaign to the next level.
90 Air New Zealand staff removed their uniforms to become actors for 24 hours and while the majority of them donned civvy clothes, 8 of them wore nothing but body paint, one of which was a very brave CEO, Rob Fyfe (Who of course was crowned NZ’s Sexiest Businessman yesterday). And you just have to know that after winning that award and with this campaign, Rob Fyfe Naked or Rob Fyfe Nude are bound to rise on google’s zeitgeist.
While it’s an obvious marketing exercise, you’d have be feeling pretty cool if you worked for Air New Zealand and saw your boss, who is CEO of one of the biggest companies in New Zealand, getting his kit off and roughing it with the laymen. One can only assume the exercise was an enormous morale booster – in more ways than one!
The ad campaign will start on Sunday night during The Amazing Race, BroTown and Grey’s Anatomy but Air New Zealand have posted a behind the scenes look of their new Nothing to Hide campaign on YouTube (Check it out below). It’s bound to cause a bit of a stir!
What do you reckon? Is it a keeper?
