    TV One’s special wtih Jason Gunn was taped a few weeks back so I’ve been told by a very reliable former Television New Zealand personality on Facebook.

    Of course if you saw the promos for it you would have known anyway.

    It’s a real shame TVNZ couldn’t have done a live programme.

    They certainly didn’t do pre-recorded New Years Eve shows back in the ’80s I can tell you that now.

    I think the best TVNZ New Years Eve show was hosted by Pam Corkery in the mid 90′s. With special guest Temuera Morrison.

    It caused an uproar.

    Like I said on the “New Years Eve” lineup item:

    ” I do love Jason, but is it really going to be live? I caught a bit of the ad for it and while it may have been a rehersal (with studio audience?) I’m a bit too old, wise and jaded to believe that TVNZ would actually have the integrity to do a live new year’s eve show. It would be wonderful if they did, from what I understand, the Times Square celebrations in the states have been done live for eons, so could they actually attempt the same here? I’m not holding my breath. 

    Can we expect to see Wendy’s fist pump in a highlights package? It’s probably the highlight of her year.”

    Pi$$ poor performance as per. Thank goodness I didn’t waste my time watching.
