Army Wives returns to TV2

10:30pm Thursday, June 17 on TV2

Denise (Catherine Bell) and Frank (Terry Serpico) face the aftermath of the gunshot that was fired in their home, in the new season premiere of Army Wives, which returns to TV2 tonight.

Trevor (Drew Fuller) and Roxy (Sally Pressman) celebrate the impending arrival of their new baby, but Roxy is hesitant to share the good news with the rest of the tribe. Pamela (Brigid Brannagh), in need of a break and still struggling in her marriage to Chase (Jeremy Davidson), unexpectedly takes the kids away for a vacation, and Claudia (Kim Delaney) learns that she has been nominated as a finalist for the Army Spouse of the Year.

Elsewhere, Roland (Sterling Brown) becomes distracted from work when he receives news of Joan’s (Wendy Davis) condition but steps up to help Denise and Frank through their difficult time.

After April’s gripping season finale, fans will be anxious to discover whether two of Fort Marshall’s finest have survived the shooting, as the heartstring-tugging drama returns for a new run.

“I can’t tell you [who lives],” executive producer Deborah Spera tells TV Guide USA, but promises that, “it’s going to be an exciting season – let’s just say that.”

Denise and Frank are in for an emotional ride from the outset, walking in after Jeremy, their guilt-ridden soldier son, fired a gun – presumably in an attempt to take his own life.

“Denise struggles to come to terms with what’s going on with Jeremy, and the impact it’s had on their family,” says Bell, who plays the distraught mother. The actress, however, is relishing the opportunity to get her teeth into the gripping storyline.

“As a mother, she could have never imagined she would find herself in a situation like this – it’s going to be a very interesting journey for her, filled with unexpected ups and downs.”
