Damages on One

10:30pm Sunday, June 27 on TV One

TV ONE’s Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning series Damages follows the turbulent lives of Patty Hewes (Glenn Close, Fatal Attraction), the nation’s most revered and reviled high-stakes litigator and her bright, ambitious young protege Ellen Parsons (Rose Byrne, Troy).

In tonight’s episode (six), with Uncle Pete (Tom Aldredge, The Sopranos) holding fast to his suspicions about Parsons, and Walter Kendrick (John Doman, ER) looking to bury any evidence that his company is responsible for polluting the waters in West Virginia, Hewes uses a television interview to accuse URN’s CEO of being behind the murder of Daniel Purcell’s (William Hurt, Vantage Point) wife.

Using Hewes’ attack on her boss as reason to end her affair with Purcell, URN lawyer Claire Maddox (Marcia Gay Harden, Mystic River) encourages Kendrick to sue for defamation to stem the growing damage to the company’s stock price. Meanwhile, after meeting with Parsons, Katie Connor (Anastasia Griffith, Trauma) is accosted by Eliot Tolken (Ethan Herschenfeld), the rogue cop who tailed her during the Frobisher lawsuit. And after running into him at the ballet, Kendrick ignores Arthur Frobisher’s (Ted Danson, Cheers) advice to avoid tangling with Hewes and orders Maddox to sue.
