Cheryl West look-a-likes selected

The winners of the Cheryl West look-a-like competition have been named ahead of the VIP launch of the Outrageous Fortune exhibition in Auckland.

Ten women from around the country have been selected as the pick of the bunch in the competition that sought to find those who most resemble Robyn Malcolm’s iconic westie character.

Run by the Auckland War Memorial Museum, the comp was launched to celebrate the finale of Outrageous Fortune last month and the opening of their new exhibition.

Amanda White, exhibitions manager at the museum, said there were some high quality entries.

“The entries were superb. One of the things we said about the competition from the beginning was ‘it’s not just about being a lookalike, it’s about your attitude: do you have a Cheryl attitude?’ And we got a really good cross-section of entries responding to that.”

The winners have picked up a Cheryl makeover, a ticket to the VIP launch of the exhibition, and a night in a westie-themed SkyCity hotel room.

Donna Fahey, Ashburton

Lorraine Natusch, Darfield
