After a group of cheerleaders witness a murder, a by-the-book Texas Ranger is assigned to go undercover and protect them, in the Wednesday Night Movie, Man Of The House, an action/comedy starring Tommy Lee Jones (Men In Black).
Texas Ranger Roland Sharp (Lee Jones) tracks down a key informant with the help of a former con man turned preacher (Cedric the Entertainer). But when the informant is killed, Roland is assigned to protect the only witnesses to the crime, a group of University of Texas cheerleaders, by going undercover and moving in with the five uncontrollable young women.
Roland learns more than he bargained for about fathers and daughters as he becomes a paternal presence to the cheery quintet: determined team captain Anne (Christina Milian, Be Cool); resident brain Evie (Monica Keena, Freddy vs Jason); tough and catty Teresa (Paula Garc�s, Clockstoppers); bouncy blonde Barb (Kelli Garner, The Aviator), who develops a crush on Roland; and laconic but spiritual Heather (Vanessa Ferlito, Spider-Man 2). Now up to his elbows in pom-poms, instead of ducking bullets and confronting heavily armed drug dealers, can Ranger Sharp save the day?
