Community on FOUR

8:00pm – Monday, February 28 on FOUR

Annie (Alison Brie) recruits Abed (Danny Pudi) and Troy (Donald Glover) for a psychology class experiment in this week’s hilarious Community, continuing its first season on Monday, February 28th at 8pm on FOUR.

Danny Pudi, the half Indian, half Polish stand-up comic, who portrays pop culture savant Abed in Community, recently spoke to American TV Guide about how fortunate he feels to be involved in a series where he is constantly learning and growing.

“Every week I feel like I get to work on something new and different,” Pudi tells American TV Guide.

“And I think that is so rare in terms of any kind of project. I feel like I’m in an acting class every week… [one week] I have to master a Christian Bale impersonation. And in the next episode I have to work on doing an African American police chief impersonation.”

When asked what the most exciting thing is about doing the series, Pudi says: “I’m constantly working on a wide variety of things which definitely keeps me challenged and fresh.”

“I get to really just work on so many different things and improve. And then also just learn from all the amazing artists around me who are all I think smarter than me and funnier than me.”

As for those actors who he claims are smarter and funnier, they include comedy legends Chevy Chase and Joel McHale. The cast is rounded out by Ken Jeong, Donald Glover, Alison Brie, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Gillian Jacobs.

“What’s great about this show is that the writing is so rich and balanced and also the people who are comedians on this show… are really excellent actors.”

“I think people have sometimes overlooked the range that some of these people have. Gillian Jacobs, for instance, has done a lot of drama… Alison’s working on Mad Men this week. All these people are incredibly able to shift from doing comedy to drama, to doing something absurd and I think because of that everyone’s able to adapt and move together as a funny amoeba.”

Make sure not to miss this when Community continues its hilarious first season on Monday, February 28th at 8pm on FOUR.
