On tonight’s second episode of all new Midsomer Murders, Barnaby joins a trip to Brighton by wartime evacuees and the Causton Chamber of Commerce because he has reason to suspect corrupt dealings between the Mayor of Causton and the female Mayor of Brighton. But the civic visit is cut short when one of the party is decapitated during a ride on the ghost train and it seems that death threats to the vicar of Midsomer Parva and members of his congregation are being executed – by the sword of a Norman conqueror.
