My Kitchen Rules on TV2

7:30pm Sunday, July 31 on TV2

The next phase of the competition kicks off tonight in TV2’s popular reality show My Kitchen Rules.

The show, which is now screening three nights a week, starts off on Sunday 31 July at 7.30pm with a street party to step the competition up.

The teams have all cooked in their own homes but today they are told they will be cooking in other people’s homes and for an entire street (80 people) for the annual street party.

The brief is big, summer, Australian. They will cook in the homes of people on the street. Half the teams must cook savoury, the other sweet. The team with the best dish, voted by the people of the street, will be safe for the week.

The weakest team, chosen by the judges, will head straight to the next sudden death cook-off (elimination episode).

Then on Monday 01 August at 7.30pm it’s a “pie surprise” cook-off. All teams compete to create the ultimate “meat & 3 veg” meal. After only 15 minutes of cooking though, the judges call STOP! The judges tell the teams to turn the meal on its head – turn it into a pie!

Not only have the teams had to deal with changing their dish they also have to complete the meal in only 1 hour – giving the teams 15 minutes less than they previously imagined.

The weakest team goes to the sudden death cook-off (elimination episode) which features on Tuesday 02 August at 7.30pm, when the weakest team from Sunday’s episode cooks off against the weakest team from Monday’s show. They must cook their best three-course meal for celebrity chefs and judges Manu Feildel and Pete Evans and four guest judges and chefs (Tobie Puttock, Liz Egan, Karen Martini, Guy Grossi).

Who will be eliminated and who will stay?
