Sheen’s sitcom picked up

Charlie Sheen’s new comedy series Anger Management was last week picked up by the FX network. A ten-episode order of the sitcom, which is loosely based on the 2003 Jack Nicholson film, will premiere in the American summer of 2012.

Smith staying as Doctor Who

Doctor Who actor Matt Smith has denied recent claims he is planning on leaving the show. “I love playing this role, and I don’t want to give it up any time soon,” Smith said. “We work very long hours every day for nine months. The schedule is pretty brutal, but I’d never complain about it.”

Jenner in E! special

An E! Channel Sweet Sixteen special will feature Kendall Jenner from Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The 15-year-old younger sister of Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian will film a one-off special for the network to celebrate her birthday.

Cuoco lands second hosting gig

The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco has been confirmed to be hosting the People’s Choice Awards 2012. It will be the second large ceremony the actress has hosted following her stint this year as the host of the Teen Choice Awards.

    Sheen’s got an awesome deal with FX. After 10 episodes they have to order either 90 or nothing. That means he’s pretty much guaranteed a pretty sweet gig for the next 3 or 4 years.
