Family Guy run its course?

Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane believes that the comedy series has run its course and should have ended several seasons ago. “Part of me thinks that Family Guy should have already ended. I think seven seasons is about the right lifespan for a TV series.”

Film writer developing TV project

The Fox network is developing a new drama pilot from the co-writer of films such as Gone Baby Gone and The Town. The project, entitled Thick as Thieves, is set in a blue collar Boston neighbourhood.

Zellweger working on TV project

Renee Zellweger is developing a new period drama for TV called Cinnamon Girl. The show will follow four girls who become caught up in the Los Angeles music movement during the late 1960s.

Ellen developing comedy

Ellen DeGeneres is reteaming with her Ellen sitcom writer Alex Herschlag on a new sitcom revolving around a mixed-race Jewish-Chinese couple.
