A Maori Television publicist has made a massive blunder that will certainly get some publicity, but for all the wrong reasons.
On the 3 News facebook page, Marino Harker-Smith asked people to “Like” if they thought David Farrier was a douche. The comment has since been deleted but not before it was screen capped.
On Twitter, Farrier posted
just rang marino at maori tv to ask if she’d called me a “douche” on facebook. silence. them some “ums” and “ahs”. i thanked her & hung up.
Farrier also stated a sentiment held by many
for the record, i think maori tv is amazing. really amazing. which is why this is sort of surprising behaviour. still, a good LOL for thursday.
It will be interesting to see how long before a press release is issued to clear this up…
