2011 Ratings: Part 3 - TV3

Continuing on in our series comparing the channel shares from 2010 to 2011, today we take a look at TV3.

In part two we saw that Mediaworks gained a 0.9 share with the change from C4 vs Four and that The Other Channels also enjoyed gains.  The news for TV3 isn’t as positive.

TV3 have gone from an average share of 14.8 in 2010 to 13.8 in 2011.  In actual share terms, Four picked up 0.9 while 3 lost 0.94.  Overall the difference is only 0.04.

The pink line is 2011 and as you can tell, the Christchurch earthquake had quite an impact on viewership on the 22nd of February.

The last couple of months of the year were boosted slightly by The X Factor USA, lifting the share to 14.1. However, this was only marginally up on the same period in 2010.

Next up we’ll take a look at Prime.
