SoHo announces special preview of the much anticipated Game of Thrones season 2

The award winning spectacle that is HBO’s Game of Thrones returns to SKY’s premium entertainment channel SoHo this April.

“We were blown away by the phenomenal response to Game of Thrones, when it launched on SoHo last year. Viewers really embraced the show and the characters that George R.R. Martin has created.” said SoHo channel manager, Mike Radics.

Due to unprecedented interest in the series, fans can whet their appetite for the new season with an advance preview of Episode 1, which will be made available on iSKY on Tuesday April 3, within 24 hours of its broadcast on HBO.

“We are delighted to launch the series on SoHo so soon after the international premiere. And after last season’s shocking conclusion, we understand fans have a huge desire to catch up with their favourite characters as quickly as possible, which is why we’re offering the advance preview as an added bonus to SoHo subscribers” Mike Radics said.

The highly-anticipated second season will officially launch in New Zealand on SoHo (SKY Channel 010) on Monday April 16 with a special double episode premiere from 8.30pm. Subsequent episodes will screen just seven days behind the US.

“Anyone yet to discover Game of Thrones will be able to catch up on the entire first season during the SoHo Box Set Weekend on 31st March and 1st April,” he added.

Based on the popular book series “A Song of Ice and Fire,” by George R.R. Martin, this hit Emmy®-winning fantasy series chronicles an epic struggle for power in a vast and violent fantasy kingdom.  Among the returning members of the ensemble cast are Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Emmy® winner Peter Dinklage, Michelle Fairley, Lena Headey and Kit Harington.  David Benioff and D.B. Weiss executive produce.
