Age 23
Arts Student from Christchurch
Born and bred in Golden Bay, with the fondest memories of a happy-go-lucky upbringing in a quaint small town. Hamish’s Mum and two older sisters raised him – and he admits they are the ones responsible for turning him into the nurturing guy (with a passion for glitter) he is today.
He moved to “big city life” a.k.a Christchurch at the start of High School but it took him a couple of years of being the shy kid who hung out in the library to fall in love with Performing Arts – his saviour. By 16, he was on stage, singing, dancing and acting as much as he could.
His ultimate career goal is to be a short story, comedy writer. He’s currently in his Honours year at university and he has bake-offs every week with one of his lecturers, while the rest of the students in the class do the tasting and voting.
He has a tattoo on his upper arm that reads “enthusiasm over skill”.
