What are you watching on TV tonight? Friday 22 June

I’m planning on watching Endeavour and 7 Days

Endeavour screens tonight on TV One at 8.30pm. No, it’s not about the ship; it’s a prequel to the Inspector Morse series, which goes all the way back to 1965 to see how Detective Constable Endeavour Morse got started.

It starts with Morse drafting his letter of resignation from the police force, but it’s a letter he’ll never deliver, as the hunt for a missing schoolgirl draws Morse back in. He travels to Oxford where police are deep in a full-blown murder investigation. At a dead end, Morse has to face the demons of his past as risks all in the hunt for a truth that will haunt him for the rest of his days. I enjoy British drama. Should be good viewing.

7 Days (TV3, 9.30pm) is a regularly watched show in this household, particularly by my husband, who laughs his way through each show. I find it quite funny too (most of the time), although sometimes they go a little bit overboard with the ‘ick factor’, particularly with a recent episode in which someone suggested that Prince Philip’s bladder infection was probably the Queen’s fault (if you didn’t see it, I’m wording this a lot more nicely than they did). That was an example of many ‘They didn’t just say that, did they?’ moments on this show, but given the show’s popularity, it obviously appeals to many people out there!

If anyone feels like a bit of American reality telly tonight (and be honest, sometimes you’re just in the mood for a bit of mindless TV, right?), be sure to catch Promzillas on U at 7pm. Several girls are given head-to-toe makeovers in preparation for their prom, which is pretty much the biggest social event of every American’s girl’s high school years. But the big question is, who will win Prom Queen?

P.S. For anyone who watched Candyman on MGM last week, Candyman 2 is on tonight! Same bat-time, same bat-channel.

What are you watching tonight?
