Judy Bailey's Australia

8:30pm Saturday, July 21 on TV One

New Zealanders make over a million visits to Australia every year. Most Kiwis go to the tried and true holiday destinations, but Australia boasts more attractions than we may realise.

In Judy Bailey’s Australia, Judy journeys from Perth to Darwin the long way around, in search of extraordinary locations, people and experiences in the big place next door.

In tonight’s season finale, Judy explores Queensland. She sees the best of the Great Barrier Reef off Lady Elliot Island, and swims with manta rays and giant turtles.

One sea turtle in particular captures Judy’s heart. Estimated to be around 80-years-old, the magestic animal circles around Judy and interacts with her.

And Judy sees the best of modern Aboriginal art and learns more about the indigenous way of life in Australia’s largest national park, Kakadu.
