Paul Henry will remain on Australian television for the meantime after Channel Ten decided to keep Breakfast on the air.
The struggling morning series will be cut by 30 minutes but will remain in its timeslot.
The series was facing the axe after a crisis meeting was held this week to discuss the future of the show, which is consistently rating poorly up against the rival Channel Seven and Nine shows.
Breakfast will now air from 6am until 8.30am with the three remaining presenters – Henry, Kathryn Robinson and Magdalena Roze – staying on the show.
