What are you watching on TV tonight? Tuesday 31 July

I’m planning on watching Sayed Kashua Forever Scared and Band of Brothers

There’s a documentary on Maori Television tonight at 8.30pm that sounds like it will be fascinating. It’s called Sayed Kashua Forever Scared and it has been filmed over seven years. It follows the complicated life of a Palestinian man living in Israel. He is a talented and ambitious Israeli writer with a top-rated television comedy series, but Kashua never feels at home.

It’s part five of Band of Brothers tonight on Soho at 8.30pm. On tonight’s episode, Winters is promoted, and Easy Company rushes to the Ardennes Forest to help defend the crossroads of Bastogne. I’m really enjoying watching this show for a second time.

As for the Olympics tonight, on SKY Sport 4 there’s more beach volleyball from 7.55pm and equestrian from 9.20pm. It’s the individual and team eventing showjumping. Keep an eye out for Kiwis Mark Todd, Andrew Nicholson, Jock Paget, Caroline Powell and Jonelle Edwards. Plus, there are more Kiwis competing in the swimming on SKY Sport 5 from 8.55pm, and in the rowing on SKY Sport 6 from 8.25pm. Our women’s hockey team takes on South Africa on SKY Sport 7 from 9.35pm, and if you’re a night owl, there are also Kiwis competing in the sailing from 11pm on SKY Sport 5.
