I’m planning on watching The Block NZ, The Glee Project and The Killing
Wednesday at 7.30pm has become quite a competitive timeslot!
The Block NZ starts tonight at 7.30pm on TV3! Quite excited about this show, because I love a good home renovation.
Four Kiwi couples compete to renovate four very run-down houses in an upmarket suburb, but the catch is that they have to live in them during the whole process. Not an easy task to live in a house with no kitchen or bathroom…
I had assumed that it would be like Mitre 10 Dream Home, and the winner would get to live in their renovated house, but no – the houses will all go to auction, and each team will receive the proceeds of the sale, with the winning team receiving an additional $80,000. That’s a lot of hard work to renovate a whole house and then not live in it, but I guess the cash is a great incentive! The Block is also on Thursdays at 7.30pm, so don’t get caught out thinking it’s just once a week and then miss half the episodes.
If The Block doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, then Fair Go (7.30pm, TV One) has a one-hour special tonight, looking at internet safety.
Also at 7.30pm, on Four, is the second season of The Glee Project! (This will have to be Myskyed). I watched this last season and the two winners have become regular cast members on the Glee now, so they’ve done very well for themselves. In case you didn’t see it last season, a group of talented young people audition week after week for the producers/vocal coaches/choreographers of Glee, in order to a part on the show. Each week one person gets eliminated until the makers of Glee make their decision about who the lucky winner will be. It’s rather addictive. On the first episode tonight, Lea Michelle visits the finalists to help mentor them.
At 8.30pm on Soho it’s the second to last episode of The Killing. Linden and Holder have the killer within their sights and Richmond and his campaign team prepare for election day. It’s fair to say that I’m very excited about this episode and next week’s final!
