First gold for NZ in London

New Zealand has won its first gold of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Rowers Nathan Cohen and Joseph Sullivan claimed gold in the men’s double sculls at midday (UK time) after storming past their rivals in the final 500m of the 2000m race.

Cohen and Sullivan finished ahead of Italy in second place and Slovenia in third.

Their medal takes the NZ total to three so far.

Why do One News use photo slideshows in some of their stories? Do they not have full access to video footage?

I believe non Olympic broadcasters have an imposed limit of footage that they can play on any day. Its a way to protect exclusive rights holders.
