Flight of the Conchords charity song heading for record

Stuff is reporting that the Flight of the Conchords are on track to beat former New Zealand Idol winner Ben Lummis’s record for most single sales in a week.

The Conchords’ charity song ‘Feel Inside (and stuff like that)’, which was produced for the TV3 special Red Nose Day: Comedy for Cure Kids, has sold over 10,000 copies since its release at the end of last week.

Lummis’s single ‘They Can’t Take That Away’ sold 11,987 copies back in 2004.

‘Feel Inside’ was the first digitally-available song to go gold within its first 48 hours of release, selling over 7500 copies.
