I’m planning on watching The Promise
On Soho at 8.30pm tonight is part one of a new four-part drama called The Promise. It is a political thriller set in contemporary Israel and British Occupied Palestine in the aftermath of World War II, and it examines the origins of the conflict in the Middle East.
On the first episode tonight, 18-year-old Erin travels to Israel to discover first-hand the struggle her grandfather faced when he was a British peacekeeper in Palestine in the 1940s. I love a good historical drama, so I’ll be watching this series.
New episodes of Who Do You Think You Are USA begin on Prime tonight at 8.30pm. On tonight’s episode, actress/singer Vanessa Williams takes the journey on behalf of her beloved late father, and discovers two courageous, barrier-breaking ancestors.
If you’re in the mood for a good movie tonight, then Vibe is screening the very lovely Finding Neverland at 8.30pm. It’s the story of how author J.M. Barrie found the inspiration to write Peter Pan, after befriending four fatherless boys in a London park. It stars Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet.
