I’m planning on watching Ratatouille, Location, Location, Location and the Olympics
One of my favourite Pixar movies is on tonight at 7.30pm on TV2: Ratatouille. When I first saw this movie I wasn’t expecting much from it, but out of all the Pixar movies it’s probably the one that made me laugh the most. It’s a great little movie.
For those of you who haven’t seen it, it’s about a rat named Remy who dreams of becoming a great French chef, despite the problem of being a rat in a decidedly anti-rodent profession. A great movie for kids and adults alike.
I have a long-standing love of Location, Location, Location (TV One, 8.30pm). Kirstie and Phil are great presenters and I always love to see what English people think is a good house, compared to what we’d think is a good house here in New Zealand. Obviously the English are lacking in space a bit more than we are, so their houses are often tall and skinny with a dreary little patio for a ‘garden’.
It’s also interesting to see what kinds of prices they have to pay over there, compared to here. Even at the moment, when our house prices are going through the roof, we’d still get a lot more bang for our buck here than in England – greater London in particular. On tonight’s episode, Kirstie and Phil visit two couples whose massive list of requirements almost drives them to distraction.
As for the Olympics, tonight I’ll be watching more finals in the rowing on SKY Sport 5 from 8.25pm, the athletics on SKY Sport 4 from 8.50pm, and the track cycling on SKY Sport 7 from 8.55pm.
I’m starting to get Olympic anxiety that I’ll miss one of our Kiwis getting a medal because I’m watching the wrong channel! So many events are on at the same time!
