What are you watching on TV tonight? Tuesday 14 August

I’m planning on watching What’s Really In Our Food? and The Mentalist

Carolyn Robinson is back with the fourth season of What’s Really In Our Food? tonight on TV3 at 7.30pm. This show is fascinating, and you find out all sorts of things – most of which you’d probably rather you didn’t know, but it’s good to stay informed!

On tonight’s episode, Carolyn investigates whether burgers can provide us with key nutrients, or if they’re simply packed with fat and salt. And what exactly are they made of?

If you have Sky Movies, then you should watch the premiere of Drive, tonight at 8.30pm. It stars Ryan Gosling as a Hollywood stunt driver who moonlights as a getaway car driver. He discovers that a contract has been put out on him after a heist goes wrong. Carey Mulligan also stars in it.

I felt Drive didn’t quite live up to the high expectations I had for it, after reading so many rave reviews, but it’s still definitely worth the watch.

On The Mentalist tonight (TV2, 8.30pm), a female undercover ‘narc’ is found dead, and in order to determine who killed her, Jane and the team must go back over every step of her investigation.
