Each week, host Carolyn Robinson will be opening our fridges, freezers and pantries to uncover the real science behind the fundamental foods New Zealanders eat.

From the dairy farms of the Waikato, to the McDonald’s Burger factory of New Plymouth, to the fish farms of Vietnam, Carolyn has been busy travelling New Zealand and abroad. This season What’s Really In Our Food? will investigate more traditional Kiwi meals than ever before, with Carolyn discovering what’s really in our Fish and Chips, Roast Lamb, Curry, Burgers and even the good old Pie – to name just a few.

Asking the questions most of us do when working through the shopping list or pulling up at the drive-through, this week’s What’s Really In Our Food? premiere looks at everyone’s favourite – burgers.
