What are you watching on TV tonight? Friday 7 September

I’m planning on watching Hamish And Andy’s Caravan of Courage and the MTV Video Music Awards

Friday night TV is rather uninspiring at the moment, if I’m being honest. I will give Hamish And Andy’s Caravan of Courage (TV3, 7.30pm) a go, mostly because I like seeing the beautiful Irish scenery! Hamish and Andy take their van to their ancestral home – the isles of Great Britain and Ireland.

There’s another new episode of Would I Lie To You? tonight, also on TV3, at 9.30pm. This show is okay…but in my opinion it’s not a patch on the much funnier 7 Days, which usually screens in that slot. I’m looking forward to 7 Days returning in its place.

If you’ve been watching The Promise on Soho (8.30pm), you won’t want to miss the final episode tonight. Erin refuses to abandon her quest to find Mohammed’s family, even though it takes her on a dangerous journey into Gaza.

If you’re an awards show fan, it’s the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on MTV (funnily enough) tonight at 8pm. This particular awards show has a history of amazing performances, so hopefully this one will be no exception. Scheduled to perform are Lil Wayne, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, 2 Chainz, One Direction, Taylor Swift, Pink, Green Day and Frank Ocean.
