What are you watching on TV tonight? Monday 10 September

I’m planning on watching The Woman Who Wasn’t There and Beyond The Darklands

The Woman Who Wasn't ThereNational Geographic is screening a documentary called ‘The Woman Who Wasn’t There’ at 8.30pm, and this will no doubt be fascinating to watch. It looks at how Tania Head, one of 9/11′s most recognised survivors, turned out not to be a survivor at all, but just a woman who made the tale all up.

This documentary has interviews with Head, right before her story crumbled and the world found out she was a fraud.

Beyond the Darklands (TV One, 8.30pm) investigates a very recent case tonight: the killing of Carmen Thomas by her partner, Brad Callaghan. Nigel Latta looks at why a successful engineer would beat the mother of his child to death, seemingly out of the blue. Should be very interesting to see if there’s anything in his upbringing that would perhaps cause a person like that to snap. Frightening.

Plus, TV3 is screening the movie X-Men: The Last Stand at 8.30pm. In this movie, a ‘cure’ for mutancy threatens to alter the course of history, as for the first time mutants have a choice: retain their uniqueness or give up their powers to fit in with society.
