Bear Grylls will feature in a new extreme adventure reality series for the NBC network in the US called Get Out Alive. Eight episodes of the series have been ordered.
Bad Teacher to be adapted for TV
The 2011 Cameron Diaz movie Bad Teacher is set to get a TV remake in the form of a half-hour comedy. The project will be written by two writers from The Office.
Banks producing new series
Elizabeth Banks is producing a new untitled comedy project for the CBS network. The actress is teaming up with writer Elizabeth Wright Shapiro on the comedy, which is said to focus on a feminist scholar who moves to LA and moves in with two “Playboy bunny types”.
Vergara sells series
Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara has sold a new series to ABC in the US. The crime procedural, called Killer Women, is based on the Argentine series Mujeres Asesinas that has already been adapted for broadcast in Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador and Italy.
