This is the movie version starring Steve Carell as Maxwell Smart and Anne Hathaway as 99. If you haven’t seen it, you should, because it is very funny. An admin worker at a government agency is suddenly called up to undertake a dangerous spy mission.

New Zealand’s Got Talent (TV One, 7.30pm)
Find out which of the acts from last week will make it through to the grand final. Plus, this week’s batch of semi-finalists give it their all to impress the judges and the public.

60 Minutes (TV3, 7.30pm)
On this week’s show, 60 Minutes delves into the world of greyhound racing. Plus, anti-feminist crusader Samantha Brick shares her thoughts about why we should return to the dark ages, where the wife just cooks, cleans and obeys. Cue howls of protest from every other woman in the country.

Smash Palace (Maori Television, 8.30pm)
It’s a classic Kiwi movie. It follows the life of a once-famous grand-prix racing car driver, Al Shaw, who has returned home to take over the family business – a car-wrecking yard called Smash Palace.

Real Steel (Sky Movies 1, 8.30pm)
Set in the near future, where robot boxing is a top sport, a struggling promoter teams up with his estranged son to build and train a championship contender. It stars Hugh Jackman.
