What to watch: Tuesday 16 October

Must watch:

Revolution (TV2, 9.30pm)
This series is produced by J.J. Abrams (who created Lost, Fringe and Person of Interest, among others) and it looks promising. When all power is mysteriously switched off, the world reverts into a primitive state, filled with chaos, danger and uncertainty.

Wildest India (TV One, 8.30pm)
A new documentary series that shows us India’s stunning scenery and incredible wildlife. Locations visited on the series include the Himalayan Mountains, the mighty River Ganges, and across to the lost world of the North East, to explore its iconic wildlife, secret locations and grand terrains. The largest bay in the world, the Bay of Bengal, also features on the series.

My Kitchen Rules (TV2, 7.30pm)
It’s the season finale tonight, and in the ultimate test, the teams must prepare a five-course meal for a full restaurant. Who will be crowned the 2012 champions?

How I Met Your Mother (Four, 7.30pm)
When Lily and Marshall can’t decide on godparents for Marvin, they put the gang to the test, to see who would be best.

New Girl (Four, 8pm)
Jess and Schmidt try to befriend a group of young twenty-somethings who have moved in across the hall.
