Updated graph: Seven Sharp vs Campbell Live

TVNZ’s Kevin Kenrick was quoted in the Herald this morning as saying “You’re only as good as your last performance. Last night, we had double the ratings of Campbell Live, but I don’t expect to read that in the Herald any time soon.”

It’s a little ironic that it’s ok for TVNZ to focus on one data point while their official line is that there isn’t enough data to draw any conclusions from yet.  Especially in light of today’s numbers

The gap between Seven Sharp and Campbell Live closed up again last night with both shows increasing their average audiences from the previous night.  Seven Sharp picked up 12,910 viewers while Campbell Live rebounded from its three week low by 70,730.

Here’s how the numbers look:

On Wednesday, Seven Sharp beat Campbell Live in the key 25-54 demographic by a significant 84.1k to 51.2k.  However, the roles were reversed last night with Campbell Live picking up 92.7k to Seven Sharp’s 69.3k.
