Sky to screen rugby league's Anzac Test after all

AnzacTestKiwi league fans will indeed be able to watch the upcoming Anzac Test with Sky Tv announcing they will broadcast the match.

As was the case with the 2013 NRL season, Sky were late in securing the broadcast rights.

“We are delighted to have reached an agreement with New Zealand Rugby League to broadcast this important first Test for the Kiwis under the new captain Simon Mannering,” said Richard Last, SKY’s Director of Sport.

NZRL CEO Phil Holden agrees, saying “it’s fantastic for the game and our fans to have the test match screening live in New Zealand. This match is an important first step towards our World Cup defence and we know there will be a lot of interest in seeing how the Kiwis perform. We value our partnership with SKY and are pleased to have been able to reach an agreement with them around this game.”

The agreement will see live coverage of the match from 9.30pm on SKY Sport 2, with a full free-to-air replay on Prime Television later that night.
